RESORT

JHC Companies completed Collins Lake Resort in Government Camp, Oregon, delivering a large-scale multifamily and hospitality development in the heart of the Mt. Hood recreation area. The project includes 25 buildings and 151 condominium units, along with resort-style amenities designed to support year-round mountain living.

Constructing a 25-building development required detailed coordination across multiple structures, trades, and schedules. Phasing, site logistics, and infrastructure planning were critical to delivering a cohesive and efficient development.

Construction in a mountain environment presents unique challenges, including weather exposure, access constraints, and seasonal scheduling. This project required strategic planning to maintain progress and ensure durability in a high-altitude climate.

PROJECT CHALLENGES

Delivering a large-scale, multi-building resort in a mountain environment required careful coordination of site logistics, weather conditions, and construction sequencing. Managing simultaneous construction across 25 buildings while maintaining quality and schedule was a key challenge.

In addition, the project required integration of residential units with shared amenities, ensuring a cohesive development that supports both individual ownership and resort-style use.
