JHC Companies completed the Scott Edwards Architecture Headquarters in Portland, Oregon, delivering a complex office renovation and three-story mass timber addition. This 16,800 SF project combines sustainable construction, advanced structural systems, and high-performance workspace design for one of Portland’s leading architecture firms.

This project features a mass timber structural system, including cross-laminated timber (CLT) panels and glulam beams, showcasing JHC Companies’ experience with sustainable and high-performance building methods. This project required precise coordination between new mass timber construction and the existing structure, along with careful sequencing to accommodate a vertical expansion in an occupied urban environment.
