The SW Luradel Townhomes project is a ground-up multifamily residential development in Portland, Oregon designed to bring thoughtful density and contemporary housing to an established neighborhood.

The 6,230-square-foot development constructed by JHC Companies, the project delivers a modern townhome-style living environment that blends efficient design, durable construction, and contextual architecture suited to the surrounding urban fabric.

The finished project contributes to Portland’s growing inventory of “missing middle” housing—providing well-designed townhome residences that balance density with livability.

PROJECT CHALLENGES

Building new housing within an established Portland neighborhood required careful planning to work within tight site conditions, zoning regulations, and neighborhood context.

The project required close coordination between the construction team and architectural partners to ensure the design intent, structural requirements, and budget goals were aligned from preconstruction through completion.

Like many multifamily developments, maintaining schedule efficiency and cost control was essential to keep the project financially viable while delivering quality housing.
