TOM’S URBAN

ILANI

JHC completed the original construction of the Tom’s Urban restaurant located within the Ilani Casino Resort in Ridgefield, Washington. The large-scale hospitality venue was designed to serve casino guests with a lively dining environment combining sports viewing, bar service, and high-volume restaurant operations.

In 2025, JHC returned to the project to complete a tenant improvement renovation converting the space into Tom’s Watch Bar, an updated sports viewing and dining concept. The renovation modernized the interior environment while maintaining the operational infrastructure required for a high-capacity restaurant within the casino resort.

The project demonstrates JHC’s continued partnership with hospitality brands and resort operators, delivering both the original restaurant build-out and the later adaptive tenant improvement as the space evolved to meet new brand concepts.

PROJECT CHALLENGES

Construction of the original Tom’s Urban restaurant in 2017 required coordination within the active Ilani Casino Resort, integrating large commercial kitchen systems, bar service areas, and high-capacity dining spaces within the casino’s architectural framework.

The 2025 tenant improvement renovation introduced additional challenges as the space was converted to Tom’s Watch Bar while maintaining existing infrastructure and minimizing disruption to casino operations.

Careful scheduling and coordination allowed the renovation to modernize the hospitality environment while preserving the functionality required for high-volume restaurant service.
